Skin Peels - TCA
Our TCA peels are administered by our experienced medical specialist.
TCA chemical skin peels can visibly diminish fine lines and wrinkles, improve areas of pigmentation - the brown spots acquired with age, sun, pregnancy, the pill etc... Ideal for fine lines around the eyes.
This treatment is suitable for men & women.
Whole face, specific facial areas, upper chest, back or the back of the hands can benefit from TCA peels. Peels can be used to improve the appearance of acne scars and help in the treatment of active acne.
What happens during a treatment?
There will be localised redness and some discomfort as the product takes effect. Over the next 3-7 days the treated area will be mildly inflamed then discolour. During this time the skin will begin to peel off to reveal the newer skin beneath. Several peels may be required to gain the finished effect. Your practitioner will give specific advice. You will be advised to wear sunblock and avoid sun or sunbeds for a while after each peel.
These peels are deep acting but are NOT the same as those seen on extreme makeover programmes such as "Ten Years Younger" which tend to be phenol peels!
