Homeopathy
What is it good for?
Homeopathy
is especially effective at treating:
- hormonal imbalances
- painful periods
- menopausal problems
- allergies
- joint rehabilitation
- recurring viral problems
- anxiety and emotional states
- breathing problems – asthma
- M.E.
- many other chronic and acute complaints
It often can help where other therapies do not. It is suitable
for all ages – from the tiniest baby to the grandest
family elder! It can also be safely used in the early stages
of pregnancy, right through to the birth itself. And the really
good news is – there are no nasty tastes, so children
are happy to take the medicine.

What happens in a consultation?
Not only a full history of the current condition, but also family
and personal history will be taken. The initial consultation lasts
up to an hour and the practitioner will want to develop an understanding
of the physical, mental and emotional state of the client.
Treatment Combinations
Homeopathy combines well with other treatments available at The
Diane Nivern Clinic.
Including:
- Aromatherapy massage
- Aqua Detox
- Allergy Testing
- Craniosacral Therapy
Treatment Prices
- Adults - £45 first consultation, £30 thereafter,
including remedies.
- Children - £35 and £25. With small children it is
important to work at their pace, which may mean a consultation
has to be concluded by phone.

| Background:
“Like cures like “
Uses minute amounts of a substance that in a larger dose in
a healthy person would create similar symptoms to those that
a patient is suffering from.
Its
origins go back to the Sanskrit writings of ancient India
and Hippocrates. However Samuel Hahnemann (1756-1844) formulated
the main foundations of Homeopathy in the late 18th century.
Homeopathy is the healing art of treating like with like.
It involves stimulation of the life force to return the individual
to health. This is achieved by utilising a tiny amount of
a substance, which in a larger dose would create similar symptoms
to those from which the client is suffering. In this country
the Faculty of Homeopathy for doctors and the Society of Homeopaths
regulate Homeopathy. There are approximately 7,000 practitioners.
Homeopathy is probably the most widely available complementary
therapy on the NHS. |

Liz Hennel RSHom, MNWCH, RMN, RGN...
I have worked in the health professions for nearly 30 years,
originally as a nurse, before leaving the NHS to work in the charitable
sector as a counsellor. For the last 12 years I have been a Homeopath,
with practices in Swinton and Oldham as well as here at The Diane
Nivern Clinic.
I teach Homeopathy, both here and overseas, and am involved in supervising
student Homeopaths here in Manchester.
I enjoy working with children and with women at all stages of their
lives, including during pregnancy – I have worked with women
during their labours, and have been able to establish good working
relationships with many midwives. I am also interested in chronic
problems such as M.E. asthma, etc.
I am always happy to discuss your health needs, or aspects of homeopathic
treatment.
